by Feb 11, 2012News and Events

The optical transmission network of Novatel is based on the Cisco DWDM technology. The double ring topology provides full redundancy capability and very high reliability of the services. The network covers more than 39 of the largest cities of Bulgaria. There are 6 international interconnection points with the neighbor countries over the borders.

At the end of year 2011 the implementation of new technology 40G DWDM transponders was finished successfully. These transponders cover the segment Haskovo (BG) – Montana (BG) – Szeged (HU) thus ensuring part of the international data transport from Middle East to Western Europe and increasing the capacity of Novatel’ network over the segment Turkey – Bulgaria – Romania and next to Hungary.
