Novatel launches the first 100Gbps telecommunications transmission system in Bulgaria
Novatel has launched the first 100Gbps telecommunications transmission system in Bulgaria and the region. The new Cisco 100Gbps transmission system has been deployed within the national and international telecommunications backbone network of Novatel, extending the Magyar Telekom Group’s regional 100Gbps transmission coverage in South East Europe.
With this project Novatel enlarged its capabilities in terms of high-speed transmission capacities and affirmed its position as one of the strongest capacity market players in the region. The fiber optic national and international backbone network of Novatel is based on a DWDM technology which provides full redundancy capability and high service reliability.
“During last few years, the need to establish a network for high speed data traffic increased dramatically with the increase of the number of used smartphones, mobile devices and websites with video content, so the new established 100G system will allow us to offer to our clients – telecommunications and Internet providers – the opportunity to ensure more innovative services to their end-customers.” said Andras Levente Csenteri, CEO of Novatel.
Novatel Bulgaria, a 100% owned subsidiary of the Magyar Telekom, member of Deutsche Telekom Group, offers a competitive alternative in the Bulgarian telecommunications market. As a leading national carrier Novatel provides a wide range of top excellence telecommunication services at competitive prices to other Telecom operators, Internet Service providers and Business Customers in the South Eastern European region. Novatel operates an extensive, fully-owned, cutting-edge technology regional fiber optic network across Bulgaria and it represents the highest industry standards in customer service, operations and maintenance.
